Coca-Cola’s Recyclable Love Story

It’s a simple sugary-sweet romantic tale. An ad portraying two bottles of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar and orange Fanta that constantly meet and revive their love affair each time they’re reused into new containers.

The bubbly conversation, pressed with puns about characteristically ordinary lifeless things “bottling it” (British for backing down) and getting “trolleyed” (intoxicated) together, is horrendously cutesy, and strains under the heaviness of its own ludicrous illustration.

This ad was aired in U.K. and Ireland not long ago and will be set to proceed in film theaters and via web-based networking media all through the late spring. Up until this point, it’s reeled in more than 894,000 hits on Youtube.

The one-minute cliche video is pretty creative as the whole in-stop motion is crafted from recycled plastic bottles which is sufficiently clever enough to convey the entire thing. The “Making-Of” video is potentially more captivating than the advertisement itself, including executives from Coke and Ogilvy Berlin. In the video, the organization’s claim that it’s intending to expand the measure of reused plastic in its bottles to 50 percent (by 2020) includes the fantasy, at minimum, of substance to the message.

This brilliant clip likely makes a big appearance following an earlier manageability responsibility made in the midst of weight from environmental activists. Coca-Cola is one of the most current company that is incorporating digital to publicized their sustainability.

What is your say on this digital marketing act of Coca-Cola?

Looking forward to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Thank you for sharing this amazing ad in your amazing post 🙂 Coca cola did a great job in this ads. I like it that they put the ads and the making of the ads because to me, the ad itself is impressive. When I looked at the making of, I was more impressed bcs it all made of plastic. Although whenever I think of Coke, sugar comes to my mind, but this ad really capture my heart. It shows a big company like Coca cola do something to this environment which is through recycling.

Great post! It is nice to see companies especially leading companies such as Coca-Cola, to take the first step towards creating a sustainable environment. It is definitely smart of them to showcase both the ads and the making of the ads through digital methods. This is because this allows them to reach to a wider audience. Also, by allowing customers to watch behind the scene, customers can connect to the brand in a deeper level while at the same time customers will feels more relatable to the ads in a more personal way. Hence, this will increase customers’ incentives into creating a sustainable environment too.

I definitely agree that the making-of video is even cooler than the actual ad – and makes you appreciate the advertisement even more 🙂 Thanks for sharing! I think it is really important for Coca-Cola to show that they can really be socially responsible and do some good things for the world – especially as a huge , wealthy brand with products that aren’t particularly great for us to start off with. It’s so great that they managed to do it in such a creative and sweet way 🙂

A very romantic that catches people’s attention that relates romance to environment. Really enjoyed the video and grateful that Coca-cola company did an ad promoting the action of recycling in the same time promoting their products. The topic about environment has been going on for years and years now and i am pretty sure everyone of us are well aware of the condition of our earth is but not committed to rescuing it. I think it is a great ad that reminds people to love the environment and remember to recycle whenever they buy a drink from Coca-Cola.
